This position will be home based and reports to Regional Business Development Manager - India and is a part of the team with members at Mumbai office in India, with the ambition to support, challenge and develop each other on a daily basis.
The role as Sales Engineer - North India
• Executing the company’s strategy for India, to achieve the given cost margin, sales and order intake targets.
• Build, map, grow, and sustain the company’s footprint in North India.
• Generate and issue quotation using Dynamics 365 to customers, resellers, distributors.
• Spec-in Engineering: Work with designers and consultants to include Nord-Lock in Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Technical Demos: Perform on-site vibration tests and "Junker" tests to demonstrate Nord-Lock’s superiority over generic fasteners.
• Territory Management: Manage existing and new accounts in key industrial hubs (Manesar, Ludhiana, Gurgaon).
• Sales Lifecycle: Handle the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation via cold calling to contract closing using CRM and after-sales support.
• Provides timely feedback and planning to management regarding sales activities, distributor/reseller performance, and monthly sales forecast.
• Maintains accurate records of all sales activities and technical issues for the region inside the company’s CRM System.
• Controls Expenses to meet budget guidelines and ensures Company’s Profitability.
• Work together with Marketing, Technical, Business Development and Sales teams to provide information on what the customer’s requirement.
• Building strong sales relationships with customers, resellers, distributors.
• Manage personal daily activities, support field visits and coordinate marketing activities to align with company policies.
• Other tasks assigned by the Manager.
Requirements
• Education: B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering/ Mechatronics (MBA optional).
• 3–7 years sales experience in B2B industrial sales, ideally within the fasteners, valves, or heavy machinery sectors.
• Strong technical solution selling capabilities.
• Be able use English and Hindi as working language, including reading, writing, speaking.
• Possess strong learning and communication skills, with a strong sense of teamwork spirit.
• Patient and meticulous, with strong sense of responsibility and stability, strong customer service awareness and certain pressure resistance ability.
• Must demonstrate high integrity and maintain strict confidentiality in handling company and customer data.
• Strong ethical responsibility and professional conduct toward customer relationships and proprietary business information are essential.
