As the Sales Manager at Nord-Lock Group, you will support our Business Unit TenEx, specifically our Expander product line, in the U.S. You will be responsible for driving profitable & sustainable growth; strengthen commercial structure, predictability & sales execution; increase focus on pricing, margin management & quality of business; and strengthen customer relationships & strategic key account development.
To be successful in this role you should have experience including, but not limited to, project-based sales combined with recurring business models and the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in complex, global environments; working closely with operations, engineering and business development in integrated commercial models; experience from sales within construction equipment, mining equipment or forestry equipment sectors; and experience in global key account management & strategic customer partnership.
The role will report to our Pittsburgh, PA facility but you will be able to work remotely with the expectation of living near a major international airport in the U.S.
Relocation is not being offered for this position.
As the Sales Manager on our team, you will:
Maintain and increase sales revenue within designated territory through various channels.
Generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders from new and existing customers.
Develop strategic partnerships with key customers and active distribution within the U.S.
Understand and interpret technical requirements; provide technical information and/or presentations; develop key accounts in a particular industry targeted by the company for growth.
Develop new sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport with buyers, engineers, maintenance and safety personnel; providing technical information and explanations; coordinating the preparation of quotations as required.
Apply differentiated commercial strategies across project sales, OEM and MRO business combined with industry segments like mining/construction, and agriculture.
Implement the sales and go-to-market strategy for Expander.
Establish structure and discipline in pipeline management, forecasting and commercial KPIs.
Personally engage in key customer relationships and major global projects.
Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, business development and marketing.
Contribute actively to TenEx-wide Commercial Excellence initiatives.
Develop and grow relationships with new and current key accounts.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge of Expander products.
Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Strong understanding of B2B sales processes, strategic account management, and complex deal negotiation.
Commercial mindset with focus on margin management, customer value, and competitive positioning.
Ability to leverage customer data, market intelligence, and analytics to prioritize opportunities and drive fact-based decisions.
Experience executing regional go-to-market initiatives and managing change in a matrix organization.

Qualifications & Desired Characteristics:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Business Administration, or that includes a minimum of 2 years’ experience with B2B sales or business development or the equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a comparable technical or commercial discipline.
Proven record of delivering profitable growth and managing complex customer relationships in the Americas market.
Experience and success working in remote teams.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 50%.
Proficient with MS operating systems (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
Proficiency with CRM or similar system, other sales management tools, and business intelligence tools, such as Power BI.
Goal orientated, able to manage sales goals, and meet deadlines.
Ability to identify prospective customers, build relationships, and close deals.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously; resourceful and structured, with the ability to prioritize and navigate complexity.
Relationship-oriented and communicative across cultures and organizational levels.
