We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our UK-based team in Walsall – home to Boltight, a global hub for hydraulic bolt tensioning technology. Our engineers work close to production and customers, developing tailored solutions used in offshore wind, oil & gas, power generation and heavy industry. Precision, speed and innovation are part of everyday life here.
In this role, you’ll lead a highly skilled team with deep technical expertise and strong customer focus. Your mission is to provide direction, build capability and help the team scale its impact – without losing what makes us special.
What you’ll do
- Take the lead in developing a strong team culture: responsibility, learning, delivery
- Build rhythm and clarity into how we work – without slowing down what makes us fast
- Turn customer needs into engineering direction and see it through to delivered results
- Improve how we work: from design documentation to knowledge sharing
- Work closely with Sales, Operations and Procurement – engineering is part of the solution, not a handover
What you bring
- 5+ years in engineering, including 2+ years in people leadership
- Mechanical/hydraulic design experience is a plus
- Experience in fast-paced or customised manufacturing environments
- A hands-on, pragmatic leadership style with strong communication skills
